Milky Way at Springleaf Nature Park
Springleaf Nature Park Milky Way on 11 June 2019
Opened to public on 1 November 2014, the 6-hectare Springleaf Nature Park serves as a natural habitat for over 80 species of birds and it is located around the Central Catchment Nature Reserve.
I visited this park today at around 1.36am with the first quarter moon and clouds in sight. Seeing was poor and so, I lowered my expectations and treated it like a test shot. I've wanted my final image to show the Milky Way rising right above the tree, something like what I did at the Rocket Tower, but I couldn't make it happen because the entire sky turned cloudy shortly after. The sky was also pretty bright with the first quarter Moon at 50% illumination. So this session became more like a test to see if I can unveil the Milky Way that's obscured by haze clouds haha!
Although the final image is not what I have envisaged but the outcome of this test is pretty encouraging and I will definitely head back to take a better shot with a bett...
