After I managed to shoot the Milky Way at Sentosa for the first time successfully using my Huawei P30 Pro on 25 May, I was looking for another opportunity to make my second attempt and that opportunity came soon enough.
I predicted the night sky was going to be clear on 26 May and I posted my prediction and my plan here. And here’s how the sky looked like during sunset on 26 May. Cloudy.

As the dusk settled, I checked my camera bag to make sure I’m all good before I headed out and here’s what’s in my camera bag in case you’re interested.

So I’m all good! I drove to East Coast Park as planned and I waited in glee for the night sky to clear and it did. The sky condition was better than the one at Sentosa but the light pollution at the location is getting worse with all the newly installed lights. Anyway I’ve got what I wanted and I left the place with a few coke cans lesser in my camera bag.
Here’s an image taken with a DSLR using a fisheye lens.

I’ve also managed to produce a better image (IMHO) with the DSLR using the same setup as I did in 2014.

Here’s the image taken at the same place in 2014 with a DSLR for comparison.
