Just returned from Mount Bromo and the sky conditions proved to be very challenging for this trip. My astro app forecasted that it’ll be a cloudy night for both nights with second night being the worst and so, I’ve briefed my participants (from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and USA) to shoot like there’s no tomorrow on our first night.
We commenced our shoot very late at 2am on 6 May due to unfavorable sky conditions and the presence of a bright waxing moon. At around 4.16am, a bright Eta Aquarid meteor pierced through the clouds and left behind a red smoke trail, while we all watched in awe. A cloudy sunrise soon followed.
